I have my channel more as a record of my big wins for me but I do have a look now and then at the stats. I've found that views have increased since I've taken the x value of the win out of the title and given it more of a catchy title so you have to watch to see what the win was. Views increased from maybe 10 on a video to 75ish which is good.
I had a Wanted Dead or a Wild video do over 3,098 views in June which was quite a jump. I wondered why at the time but left it. One of my latest videos for Fishin' Frenzy titled 'Fishin' Frenzy The Big Splash - Frankie got them fish coming! BIG WIN' has 4,807 views and counting. I have also seen a big jump in subscribers (for me) and watch time to go with it.
I have no idea why this video did so well. Those of you pro's at this, any ideas as to what caused this to do well? It kind of spurs you on to make more of an effort with videos.
Things like happen from time to time but all YouTube really cares about is your watch time and CTR, Click Through Rate, that's how many people are clicking on your thumbnail..
Your thumbnail is one of THE most important things as that's the 1st thing people see when YouTube recommend your videos, so the better the thumbnail, the more people click on it, the higher your CTR goes, the more YouTube recommends the video. Then if the video is really engaging and its getting a high watch time, the more YouTube recommends the videos, that's basically all the YouTube algorithm cares about..
Go in YouTube studio and use your analytics, it tells you everything you need to know, what videos have high CTR, what videos have a high watch time etc & much more, then when you know what's working, try and recrate that in your new videos. Everything you need is in YouTube studio..
Cheers Chris
This just shows that genuine videos have an audience without the need for a £100,000 bonus buy, a screen full of wilds (yeah right!) or some care in the community individual screaming at the top of their idiotic voices to let ius know that their win is f****g insane or UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Keep up the good work and well done on the views you have managed to get.
How about a slot battle with weemonk
It also has alot of to do with watchtime, if your video is short and has 50% watch time, it will do alot better than a longer video with 20% watch time, so i would assume you have decent watch time on it
Cheers
Cheers Jimbo. I went looking around from what you said and found this info
yeah 50% is dam good retention mate!
youtube keeps removing posts FFS lol hopefully this reaches you
got it buddy!
Just keep going through all your videos, finding out what's working and what's not working. YouTube studio lets you know exactly what you need to improve on, its what studio is supposed to be used for, it tells you everything you need to know..
