The UKGC are now floating that they are seeking 5 seconds as a timing between spins.

If you ever want a genuine laugh find BBC Parliament and watch the sessions on Gambling Regulation. This just looks like a bunch  of under-achievers from public schools waffling nonsense about something they cannot comprehend. Some tory ponce called Giles seems to think that all land based betting shops know all of the customers personally and sit about drinking tea with them. Then there's the labour guy who spent about ten minutes asking why postcodes should be used as checks like he has never heard of KYC or AML.

The blind leading the dumb who are in turn advising the blind.  Utter shambles.

All the world's a stage and most of us are desperately unrehearsed.

There's a large questionnaire you can fill in to give them your thoughts. However, they won't listen. Regarding the postcode; that's to see if you live in a low income area and therefore can not afford certain amounts. The entire thing is ridiculous. Little do they realise they are pushing more and more to crypto. Still baffles me how you can do a £500 spin in the UK on roulette but not do a bonus buy.

Problem is they listen to problem gamblers only. These are the people that blame the casinos for all of their troubles and so these crazy ideas come about. Take a bit of responsibility.

My view is the casino should set a deposit/spend limit for the month (they decide this) and that's it, job done. The net profit/loss counter on each game, the gambling control tools each casino has and the warning that you have been playing x amount of time is plenty.

I started filling in the questionnaire and explaining that 5 second spins will prolong how long someone is playing in a session. Surely prolonging how long someone plays is bad. I gave up filling in though as what's the point.

Bunch of fucking retards that have no idea what they are on about.

No way they can stop VPN's. If ISP's agreed it would be like in the days when the ISP's started throttling torrent speeds. As soon as your ISP did that you sign up with one that doesn't. They soon learnt they were losing loads of business and stopped doing it.

What do they consider to be an illegal site? I would be interested to know.

GameROOM  Thanks for posting the link. I think this was from the same session I had watched.

No sugar coating there  Weemonk23 . The question over VPN's was answered like that were having some success however we all know this not to be the case.

The only thing that will stop the Crypto casinos is their own conduct and reputational damage caused by that conduct. Of course there will be some crypto casinos run by rogues who will end up stealing customer deposits however if some of these sites operate well, they will flourish. For those who do not know Pokerstars was a "bad actor" for many years and is now the biggest and pre-eminent provider of online poker with a solid reputation.

At the end of the day all you have to think about is, these people in charge think auto spins make you lose track of what you spend, when they had a built in loss limit, which you had to set to use the auto's.. So now we all use auto click, something my daughter used on games like Minecraft and Roblox when she was 6 years old, so let that sink in, this is how stupid these people in charge truly are, its way way beyond moronic, I've actually no words to describe just how stupid these people are.

Things are never going to get better here in the UK as like I said, these people in charge are beyond stupid, things are only going to get much much worse..

Another Valid and legitimate reason to end playing at UK brands, the blind leading the blind is exactly what it has been for years now.

I gave up filling in though as what's the point.  Weemonk23

This is the issue weemonk, we have zero faith in the UKGC's ability to make the correct decisions, that we genuinely believe they wont even read a questionnaire that's meant to be filled out, what hope is there that they would actually act on valid points and start conversations on better changes, to balance an enjoyable bit of gambling & taking care of those who just blame the casinos for their actions
