I went through a full KYC with Rizk just near Christmas. Payslips provided, proof of casino winnings for December and bank statements. This resulted in a net loss limit of £400 per month which I thought was reasonable.

Roll forward and last week I had an email to say that my account had again been reviewed and the net loss limit had now been set at £130 and could I also answer the following questions about do I feel comfortable playing and so on.

I answered the questions, voluntarily submitted my outgoings each month and showed further proof that I earn well above £30k a year. I suggested that they put the £400 back in place. Their response:

Oddly enough my account says my max deposit level in a month is £400 but net loss £130 so how does that work?

Had a lot of issues with limits recently. I get why they do it, I even agree they do it but the goalposts just keep moving. I've already posted threads about WHG not even telling you that you have a limit.

I am toying with putting a 6 month self exclusion on the sites that I play. Not because it's getting too much for me or getting me into trouble but more because I can see further difficulties down the line, more random reviews when I have proved my financial status in relation to playing and less incentive to bother playing at all.

Take a look at the scene now. Every streamer seems to average £10 spins (boys excluded) or more. It isn't real in relation to your average Joe. I get bored watching Casino Grounds Streamer videos. I still like the Community ones. There's only Bandit keeping it real - and by that his explanation of money and his venture into his new channel. The lads here are keeping it real because you don't see massive amounts of content from them. That says to me they can't afford to put out massive amounts of content if they are using their own money. Even Jimbo said recently he'd got bored of playing.

I suppose when the fun stops, STOP 🤣

Yep. I'm now blocked from Rizk, Mr Green, Video Slots, Casumo + all the major ones.

Even with substantial earnings above what my deposits are, they deem me to much of a risk apparently.

I'm down to 3 places i can effectively play (for now)

The casinos being forced to do this, will also force them out of the uk market as low rollers don't make them the money.

Wow. I had no idea Craig. Isn't it annoying when you can prove your money and where it comes from and affordability that they do this.

You are correct, I can really see the UK market crashing as the casinos realise there is no business.

I'm down to 2 at the moment that I can play freely at and I can do WHG with a £500 monthly limit. WHG take too long to pay though.

I must just be incredibly lucky other than at sign up/ first withdrawal stage I have never been asked for documents or SOW.

The landscape is changing rapidly and the ability to play will change for all players all too soon. This will no doubt play into the hands of rogue casinos who will hoover up the uneducated and ill-informed players seeking to avoid the inconvenience.

Player Passports are the key and this is something  I have always advocated however the UKGC spends too much time of stupefying irrelevances yet the likes of  the toxic Slingo games are allowed whereas you cannot buy a £20 bonus or shortly will not even be able to use autoplay. The casinos who fund streamers indirectly should be sanctioned and should be permitted to self govern within clearly laid down guidelines that do not get altered every five minutes causing operators to be overly cautious and disorganised. So the UKGC is now ensuring that big win or congratulatory messages after all wins have to be altered and this will change what exactly. No player cares about irrelevances such as this .

This is a UK issue, I'm living in Ireland and have been gambling online for about 7 years, never once been asked for proof of earnings and sometimes can deposit a considerable amount.

All these regulations are going to do is drive people to sites that are unlicensed and dodgy.

I've just had correspondence over the last couple of days from fun casino.

They asked for documentation which I gladly gave them and they have come to the conclusion that a £530 a month limit will be placed on my account.

I think that's fair and pretty responsible on their part and the communication I had with them was 1st class.

Much better than just slapping a cap on there without any idea of my circumstances

I agree  Reformed-Gambler1  . I think £400-£500 for anyone is plenty if you think what an average wage is. Even on good earnings it is plenty. Add to that how many of us play over different Casino's 😉
